I’m so excited to F-I-N-A-L-L-Y share this blog post with you!
Remember this Formal Living Room?Pretty much a useless, wasted space. Never got used. Why have formal couches that you’re never going to sit on?
Plus . . . I got over how busy this space was. WAY TOO MUCH STUFF . . .
So I decided to turn this space into something functional . . . My new office!
My old office was a very limited space . . . It was previously in my art/work room where I
painted, stained, crafted, and just flat out . . . made a mess!
I really needed a space that I could store my office supplies, files, printers etc. . .
and actually allow me to sit at my desk, have a legit workspace and get my office work DONE!
So a few years ago this formal living room looked like this:
and the last time you saw this space I had turned it into an office, but it wasn’t quite done . . .
Wellllll . . . I FINALLY finished this room & now it looks like this!
Here’s another before shot of the “formal living room” from a few years back:
The last time you saw it:
and NOW Look!
I had so much fun building and/or restoring each item in this room.
My vision was a complete Restoration Hardware styled space. . . on a Target Budget.
So each item was an individual challenge!
One of my favorites in this room is the Pipe shelving!
This is my inspiration from Restoration Hardware . . .
. . . and this is how I executed MY pipe shelving:
The piping cost around $85 and the wood cost $20.
RH price tag is right around $100 for each shelf! This shelving would’ve cost me $600!
Uhhh no . . . I prefer my $100 price tag!
Each item below has its own blog post which details how it was inspired by RH,
and how each one was achieved with a few hundred dollars or less!!

I spray painted a lot of my desk accessories to stay in line with the current gold trend . . .
I added lots of live plants and some fake ones here and there to give this space a splash of color & LIFE!
I also opted out of curtains and framed out the window instead! ?
I just love all the light that comes in . . . I can truly say I enjoy working in this office!
So . . . What do you think of my Restoration Hardware inspired office???
Stay tuned to see the former “Formal Dining” Room that adjoins this space!
. . . and the entry way Foyer . . .
Both spaces have been Re-Done to complete the look!
