Refreshed Master Bedroom

Hello my Friends! Its been tooooo long I know!!! This month has been a busy one!! Weekend trips, custom orders and most importantly… My baby boy , uh-hum… SON is graduating from high school!!!! I can’t believe how TIME FLIES!! I didnt realize how much was involved! Party planning, invites, announcements.. WOW! LOTS OF WORK!

Anywho… I wanted to share with you ONE MORE room make over before I start showing some refinished pieces again! I CAN’T WAIT to show you the pieces that I’m working on now! Don’t worry… I still have TONS of rooms to share … as well as room updates.. and tons of refinished pieces!! SO STAY TUNED!!

So a few years ago when we started re-decorating the house, the master bedroom was actually the 1st room we tackled! Ripped out carpet and added wood floors to start! Changed most of the room decor… The frame of the bed is the only thing that stayed! Everything else was sold and I started pulling pieces from other rooms of the house. I started refinishing some fun stuff here and there.

Well.. here we are 3 years later!!

As I’m sure you already know this about me … THIS ROOM IS NOT DONE… Tons of ideas in the works.. JUST NEED MORE HOURS IN THE DAY to EXECUTE them! LOL

I hope you like what we’ve done so far!! 😉

I really loved this faux finish on the wall I did.. but as time goes by… YES I Got over it.. LOL

I started this room with blue and white in my mind… but then I had this Green throw…  so I put it on the bed and was instantly in love with the blend of the 3 colors!! I added a green lampshade, 2 green pillows and a center pillow with touches of green in it…

This bench used to be in the hallway of my formerly decorated dining room.. yes you remember the dark burgundy and yellow?? Now it sits at the foot of my bed!! (hint hint… its next on the refinishing list)

I love the way the dark blue patterned rug, with splashes of green, looks on the light wood floor!

Sorry for the bad “before” picture!! This was originally a set of Thomasville nightstands that I purchased at a garage sale for $10!! One of them had suffered from severe water damage on the top, so after sanding & priming them, I had the legs cut off the “good” nightstand and I placed it right on top of the damaged nightstand… WALAA! A perfectly good small chest of drawers!!

After being inspired by the green it the room, I thought??? Oh go for it!! You cant mess up a $10 set of nightstands by painting them green can you???

What do you think of it now??? I LOVE IT!!

This is BY far… my most favorite piece of this room.. Just the splash of green it needed!

I installed these hooks from Ikea about 8 years ago, I love the way the curtains hung from them…

So the hooks stayed… BUT EVERYTHING ELSE changed!! Curtains, wall color, etc.. Don’t the hooks show up so much nicer on a lighter color??

The TV wall of the room is still not done.. Really looking for one large dresser that can go across this wall and hold ALL my clothes… and I really want to hang the TV and do some funky art around it!

Ah well… until then…

Just a recap.. What do you think?? 😉

    • Ruthie - Thank you Melody!! Believe it or not, the wall color was oops paint from Home Depot! LOL!! But it’s just a very pale light blue.. The color in my living room is the one I’m obsessed with and that also is like a pale Sea Blue.. I think that’s the name? It’s Valspar. Hope this helps?
