My new Craft Table & Memo Board

Hello ALL!

So after a couple of years using my old craft table, I finally got a NEW one!
The one I had been using was fine,
but the style of the table had too much of a modern look to it.
So . . . instead of seeking one out, I waited to just stumble across one at a garage sale.
AND THAT IT DID!

I also had this dresser mirror that I wasn’t able to sell… I guess no one saw my vision??
Sooo . . . after a year of it stumbling around in my garage
(in which the mirror inside finally broke)

I FINALLY decided to tackle that project too!

So here goes . . .

See the UGLY faded areas along the top??

Nothing a little sanding can’t handle!!

I only sanded the top & some of the rough edges around the legs . . .

Ready to see it done????

Ta Daaaaa!

DSCF2832I stained the top a provincial color stain  . . .
and painted the base a pretty sea blue.

after the top dried, I applied a weathered grey stain to add depth.
I also added some provincial stain to all of the blue areas . . .

Look at these beautiful edges now! Smoothly sanded with a fresh new color!
I also did some light distressing throughout the entire piece,
to let the original color peep through!

Now let’s check out the mirror . . .

AFTER!!!

Here I painted it Old White and then added some chicken wire to the back . . .

DSCF2694I applied some dark glaze in the edges to add some depth & dimension.
. . . and then just added a couple of fun little clothes pins to attach all my mementos!

So what do you think of my NEW Crafting Table & Memo Board?!?
