Eclectic Dining Room Update

Hi Everyone! I know I’ve been away too long! But I’M BACK and I have 4 project posts coming your way this week!

So STAY TUNED!

I wanted to share the updated dining room before I post about a major project that I just completed in my house!

This is what you last saw . . .

light blue walls and cream accents . . .

DSCF0251To start, I decided to tackle the wall color, curtains and lampshades . . .

DSCF1688I also wanted to add a large tree to the corner of the room . . .

I wanted the tree to have some “bling” so I decided to paint it GOLD . . .

DSCF1686  I then decided to paint the walls a navy blue to match the adjacent stenciled wall . . .
I also purchased some new lamps from Hobby Lobby (on sale!)  . . .

I added these cute floral embellishments (also from Hobby Lobby) . . .

Next, I purchased some 95″ curtain panels from Target. These panels were still too short since I have really tall ceilings.. So (very carefully) I undid the pre-stitched top & bottom hem . . .

I then re-ironed a very small hem on both ends . . .
(doing this added about 6 inches to the length of the panel)

Good ol’ trusty sewing machine to handle those edges . . .

Ready to see it all done????
