Contempo Trellis Hallway Gallery

Hi Friends! I know you are probably wondering when I’m going to STOP stenciling…Well, I’M NOT!
I am ridiculously obsessed and just cant get enough! ūüôā

Here’s the latest house project I recently completed! I started this project LAST YEAR when I had the hallway pendant lights installed . . .¬†Lets just say I had “designers block” and just couldn’t finish it!

Anyway, long story short… when I found out a few months ago that I would be undergoing a non-surgical procedure on my elbow and wouldn’t have use of my right arm for 6 weeks. . . Lets just say that was the “lit” fire I needed to get the job done! NO WAY was I going to keep walking down my ridiculously unfinished hallway!

Hope you like my new hallway gallery!

BARE BONES 9.5 yrs ago..

A couple years later I swapped out the “SUPER BORING” light fixtures
to your typical “just boring” lights…

This is how LAME my hallway was… I had 2 big framed pictures. .¬†.and THATS IT! Ughh!!
Not to mention, the lighting in the hallway was TERRIBLE!! Could barely see in there!
hence the bad “before” pics

So last year in September (yes a YEAR ago)
I finally decided to tackle this LONG OVER DUE project…
The Hallway!
To start, I purchased these Edison Pendant Lights from Lowes…

Here they are installed… Wooo hooo! Since I had 3 lights on the wall, I figured 3 overhead hanging lights would do the trick! It was instantly amazing.. in 9 years I had never seen my hallway so BRIGHT!

So here’s the other side of the hallway . . . OBVIOUSLY just completely UN-organized!¬†I was trying to organize my photos on the wall and cabinet and create something!! Looks like a GIANT mess to me!

I purchased this BIG rustic buffet/cabinet¬†initially for my dining room. Didn’t like it there, so here it landed in the hallway…

Well, after a LONG while in the hallway, I realized I didn’t like the cabinet / buffet in there either!!
It was too Bulky and not long enough!

So of course I went on the Craigslist hunt!!! Guess what I found????

I couldn’t BELIEVE it when I found this piece! It was the exact length and depth I needed for my hallway!! and It’s ONE SOLID WOOD piece! Scored at $150!! ¬†Hubs removed the bottom pieces that were added on to the piece (who knows why?) to give it a cleaner look..

OK . . . SO HERE’S THE START OF THE HALLWAY!

Purchased this Contempo Trellis Stencil from Royal Design Studio, and started going to work!

Progress… into later hours of the evening..

Going around the corner …

. . . and finally finishing up right above my Art Room doors. I didn’t want to do both sides of the hallway, so I finished the stencil in this corner and then painted the adjoining wall with the same stencil color I was using…

OK, ARE YOUR READY TO SEE FINISHED HALLWAY??

wait for it…………………………………..

What do you think??????

I finally put up all of our pictures! This had been long over due!!! I did a collage of varying sizes of Black and white frames, wall art wording, canvases and lots of colorful pictures!

I had purchased this Pottery Barn Collage frame and was racking my brain as to what kind of pictures to put in it?? I really didn’t want the typical 16 different pictures, so my brain was trying really hard to be creative!!
Then it HIT me…

I found¬†this App on my Mac that slices your photo into as many pictures as you like…¬†So hmmm? I¬†took one of my most favorite photos and went ahead and sliced it into 16 – 4×6 pictures!

Isn’t this sooo cool?? It totally looks like she’s peering out a window!

Ok so here’s another BEFORE shot from the other end of the hallway… BORING¬†

BEFORE...

I absolutely LOVE all the wording wall art that I had been collecting!
This one is my fav . . .

Found these awesome stools at Kirklands! It took me a minute to find stools that were the right width and depth for this piece!!

Obviously the fabric didn’t matter . . . because I have my own thoughts in mind!
Picked up this fabric for $4 at Hobby Lobby!!
Love IT! I can’t wait to recover these stools!!

¬†So just a recap… what do you think of the new Contempo Trellis hallway gallery??
