Chevron Dining Set

So recently I had a friend who was desperately needing to get rid of her dining room set.
She needed it out of her house ASAP!
Ruthie to the rescue!

When I saw the base of the table I was instantly in love!
So immediately my wheels started turning..

The top had some damage, so I was hoping I could sand it down and see if we could fix it?!
Check out what we ended up doing to this table!

Dining Table BEFORE:
(these are not the chairs that came with the table…)

Look at this double pedestal base!! LOOOOOVE!

These were the 6 black chairs that came with the table . . .

The black chairs just needed a little work,
some of the seats were broken and the fabric needed to be replaced!

Easy Peasy . . . Replaced the wood seats and recovered with new fabric!DSCF2939

on the backs of the chairs  I mixed it up by recovering with a coordinating fabric DSCF2938

Here I sanded the table a few times . . .IMG_1335

Here the stain was applied, and the pedestals had already been painted an antique white,
distressed, and dark waxed to add to dimension and depth.

Ok so at this point I still wasn’t happy. . . the finish was not enough for me!
what else could be done???

I know! Good ol’ trusty stencil to the rescue!
IMG_1354Look at the chairs refinished! What a HUGE difference!!
Thanks hubby for painting these for me! 😉

Here you can see the beautiful refinished pedestals! DSCF2879

Ready to see the table all done with these chairs???

This was the quickest sale! This whole set sold in less than a couple of days!

What do you think . . .Do you LOVE it??
